THE SPEAKER'S HANDBOOK is an excellent textbook for students in a public speaking course, as well as a practical reference for the independent speaker. Its thorough coverage addresses the public speaking process, including planning, listening, and presentation aids, yet each topic can stand alone, giving readers a convenient reference even when they don't want to read the entire text. Forward-thinking new coauthor David Bodary joins Jo Sprague and Doug Stuart in this tenth edition of THE SPEAKER'S HANDBOOK to engage students in active learning beyond the classroom.
Editorial : "I believe that this text should be a keeper for the students who take my class. I believe that it is a resource, based upon its simple structure, for students to find specific information related to any kind of speaking situation that they might find themselves in."
"This textbook provides a good foundation to understand the principles and strategies of quality public speaking. My students can use it to discover what strengths one needs to be a strong public speaker and, in turn, help them develop their confidence."
"I prefer THE SPEAKER'S HANDBOOK over any competing text. Its coverage of topics is excellent."
Fun book. After reading the mythos of several different countries, to include Egypt, China, and Japan, I've come to the conclusion that the Mythos of the Norsemen is perhaps, the most fun and enjoyable to read. The puzzle is resolved in a most satisfactory and pleasing manner which makes for a very pleasant ending to this very charming book. However, after reading Barbara's review, I think I can do it. Billy Johnson was very informative. I found myself cheering for him, hoping that he would one day leave the street life behind and make himself and his family proud.
This is Fulgham's first book. So, this is a book about consciousness as much as about therapeutic theory and practice. I loved the tid bits of information she gives in the beginning of each chapter. The book is a sort of cookbook. Insightful and encouraging, this book's only flaw was a marketing one. Great Product, highly recommended.. You will find it of interest if you are interested in guano (once a very import
