“Between Amelia Peabody and Indiana Jones, it’s Amelia—in wit and daring—by a landslide.”—New York Times Book Review New York Times bestselling Grandmaster Elizabeth Peters transports us to the Land of the Pharoahs—and leaves us in the most capable hands of intrepid archeologist and adventurer Amelia Peabody—in The Falcon at the Portal. A suspenseful and always surprising romp through 1911 Egypt with Amelia and her equally indomitable family, the Emersons, The Falcon at the Portal immerses us in a fascinating world of antiquity and majesty, and plunges us into a mystery as perilous as it is puzzling. As the Cleveland Plain Dealer suggests, let us all “raise a toast to the incomparable Amelia Peabody.”

Editorial : "'Really,' I thought in mounting exasperation, 'there never was a household in which so many people felt free to offer their unsolicited opinions!'" This, of course, is the eminent Egyptologist and dedicated crime solver Amelia Peabody, setting the stage and the tone (an updated Oscar Wildean irony) for Elizabeth Peters's 11th book. And it's true that there are no shrinking violets in this particular household, from the redoubtable Amelia and her hot-tempered archaeologist husband Emerson (his native diggers call him the Father of Curses), to their dashing, unpredictable son Ramses (born Walter). Not many examples of good strategies. YES it worked again. Is it a bleeding edge of technology book, no! There is only enough "bits, bytes, baud, and buffers" geek speak to explain the examples. This book provides a great foundational approach to using play therapy with family counseling work. fast shipping -- in good condition as stated. I bought this book among other hamster owning books out of curiosity, thinking it would just be "for fun." However, this book is far more useful than the ones directed at an older audience. If you like playing the sims 2 I suggest you get this guide it makes playing even more fun!. We did not use the entire 21 day program, but instead chose to try a test-run program of 7-days (5:00am - 6:30am, daily). If I don't measure it, it's probably much lower than I think and there's a great deal I can do about it if I take the points in the book to heart.

I recommend this book to anyone who has to talk to someone else about their product or service.
