The Oxy-Acetlyene Handbook: A Manual on Oxy-Acetylene Welding and Cutting Procedures
I visit patients at a hospital, and I am reading this book to a patient with ALS. In the BASICS section you find the different types of inlays as Line inlay Marquetry, Parquetry, and Oyster-veneering. Yet there is a cost to the reader: You too will sift through numerous lengthy documents, reminiscences, newspaper reports, and letters printed in type difficult to distinguish from the author's own text (editor's fault). I enjoyed this book immensely, not for the unfortunate events that happened, but because of the writing, the style, and the honesty. It's not easy to write about this kind of thing with any kind of honesty and integrity, but it shines through in this book. Editor John Wain tells Boswell's story in Boswell's words, through excerpts from his journals, letters, legal pleadings, and published writings. As a Long Island resident over 68 years it was nice to see information not previously written about.Iwould definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Long Island history..
