This book does not offer a 'miracle cure' for autism, although the authors aim to counteract the prevailing view that autism is a lifetime condition. Authors Walter Solomon, Chris Holland and Mary Jo Middleton demonstrate that with the appropriate intervention, children with autism – and other special needs – can gain a fuller understanding of the world and learn to take a constructive and contributing place in it.The authors set out an approach based on Dr. Geoffrey Waldon's philosophy of the development of understanding, which centers on helping children learn how to learn. The Waldon Approach is presented through accounts of how it has helped to enrich many lives.
Editorial : 'Dr Waldon offered hope to parents, not only changing lives but also often saving lives. The book is a worthy tribute to how Dr Waldon dediated his life to helping children and their families'
-Saira Pester, Special Children

He is one of those guys who has stretched himself into his own idenity despite, as Barbara says, having to get past being the "son of a legend." If you like memoirs which I do, my favorite reading in fact, this is the one. The book calls for firm adherence to end-to-end adaptation, but in a more informed fashion via the use of an out-of-band signaling protocol. The author claims there were 20 standard colors available to pick from but never shows or lists the colors. Good Value as my school charges way more for this book This is THE book for garment construction. Writing in a way that is comfortable and casual -- almost like we were talking over coffee -- he made me feel like he was right there with me. I bought the book part #8420 everything is covered in detail but
